Spa Etiquette + FAQs

Making an Appointment
A guest care specialist will coordinate a spa and salon experience specifically for your needs, and appointments can be made either in-person or via phone.
Guest Requests
You may request a specific gender Massage Therapist while booking an appointment. All Spa employees are trained to respect the privacy of our guests and to create a comfortable, relaxing environment for all.
Cell Phones
We ask that all cell phones and electronic devices be turned off before entering the spa.
Shaving
Shaving is not recommended before a Body Treatment or Men’s Facial. If you choose to shave, please shave at least four hours prior to your service.
Hydration
In order to guarantee the effectiveness of your spa treatment, we recommend that you refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages before visiting our spa, and drink plenty of water before and after your treatment.
Guest Timeliness
We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. Arriving late will possibly interfere with your treatment, making it not as effective or therapeutic for you. All appointments will end at their scheduled time so that the next guest will not be delayed. Treatment times are not extended based on late arrivals.
Cancelation Guidelines
- We respectfully request at least 24 hours notice for cancelation or rescheduling of any experience.
- Reservations will be confirmed 4 business days in advance, giving an opportunity to reschedule without penalty.
- All reservations will be reserved with a credit card on file
- "No-Show" reservations will be charged 100% of the reserved experience amount.
Health Problems and Comfort Level
Please notify our staff before booking treatments if you are pregnant, have allergies, high blood pressure, any physical ailments, or disabilities. This will prepare our staff far in advance to provide the best possible spa treatment or therapy for you. When receiving your treatment, the Technician will address your needs based on your personal assessment. They will speak to you about the temperature, pressure, music, product, and sequence of service they are providing. You may also communicate to us how you are feeling during your service, and if there is anything specific you would like us to address, please inform the Technician.
What to Wear During a Treatment
John Roberts does not uphold any dress code, and the treatment rooms are clothing optional environments. It is recommended during a Body Treatment or Massage that those treatments are enjoyed without clothing although undergarments may be worn if preferred. Professional draping is performed throughout the duration of the service for privacy. We request that all guests take a shower prior to arrival. We will provide robes and slippers for your convenience.
